Davis, OK

For those who have heard the expression, "dynamite comes in small packages," Davis embodies this idea. With a population of around 3,000, this town gem is nestled in the heart of the majestic Arbuckle Mountains.

It is buzzing with unique shops, delicious cuisine, historical treasures and a range of unique "to-dos" that provide something for everyone – all within a ten-mile perimeter! Located just off the corridors of Interstate 35 and less than a two-hour drive from anywhere in the state, this personable little town is just a short drive away for just about anyone that may be interested in a visit.

What to Do

The town is bustling with small-town charm offering an old-fashioned Main Street to antique stores and boutiques. Come out to Davis to see Turner Falls Park. It's the oldest park in Oklahoma, with the largest waterfall in the state! The recreational area has been a popular family destination since its opening and features a rock castle, natural caves, novelty shops, picnic sites, hiking trails, and much more.

Try your luck at Treasure Valley Casino! This venue boasts over 400 electronic games and a variety of table games, including Black Jack, Ultimate Texas Hold 'em and 3-Card Poker.

After a dynamic dose of gaming, take a short drive west over the Exit 55 bridge and check out the Bedré Fine Chocolate and Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center. These locations are next to one another, making it a convenient travel stop. Bedre offers an assortment of gourmet chocolates. The Welcome Center is full of First American art, fine jewelry and unique Made-In-Oklahoma gift items for purchase.

Where to Eat

Hungry for some local flavor? Try the locally famous Arbuckle Mountain Original Fried Pie featured in our Flavors of Chickasaw Country video series. Another hot spot for visitors and residents is Smokin' Joes Rib Ranch serving smoked meats and all the fixings. It's so popular there is an airstrip nearby where folks fly in for some delicious grub. Other delicious eateries include Boom-a-rang Diner, Burgerland, 77 Grill and RV Park, Los Generales Mexican Restaurant and more.

Where to Stay

Treasure Valley Hotel is connected to the Treasure Valley Casino and offers a refreshing indoor heated pool and jacuzzi. If you have your own RV, stay at Cross Bar Off-Road Park or 77 Grill and RV Park. Davis has plenty of cabins, from Cedar Falls Cabins to the A.L. Hideaway Cabins and many more!
