Chickasaw Council House Museum and Chickasaw Capitol Building
The Chickasaw National Capitol serves as a museum and reminder that the Chickasaw people fought for their tribal identity and independence. Next door, the Council House Museum is the first Chickasaw Capitol House built in Indian Territory is preserved inside the museum along with a beautiful collection of pottery, jewelry, beadwork, artifacts, Chickasaw artwork and archives.
Chickasaw Bank Museum
The Bank of the Chickasaw Nation opened in 1901 and came to ruin in 1909. Years later, the interior of the first floor was restored to its original appearance as the Chickasaw Nation’s official depository showcasing historical memorabilia and artifacts from the time.
Chickasaw Nation Information Center
The Information Center provides a unique selection of First American artwork, books and publications, jewelry, Chickasaw Country souvenirs and novelty items such as Tishomingo or Made in Oklahoma products.

Fort Washita
Fort Washita was built in 1842 and served as a former United States military post in northern Bryan County. The mission of Fort Washita was to protect the Chickasaw and Choctaw tribes from the Plains Indians and was abandoned after the Civil War in 1865 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
