Day 1 - Sulphur
Chickasaw Cultural Center
The Chickasaw Cultural Center offers a world of opportunities to learn and connect with First American history. Watch the story of the Chickasaw people unfold before your eyes through powerful performances, demonstrations, collections and exhibits at one of the largest and most comprehensive tribal cultural centers in the United States.
Traditional Chickasaw Lunch
Visitors can taste traditional First American food like fry bread, buffalo burgers, venison stew, Indian tacos, salmon, and pulled pork stacks; pashofa, a traditional Chickasaw corn soup; or grape dumplings, a classic dessert. The campus Spiral Garden provides vegetables for many of the menu items, so each dish is fresh and authentic.
Chickasaw National Recreation Area
As one of only three Oklahoma parks affiliated with the National Park Service, this national park is a beautiful oasis of water, foliage and wildlife creating the perfect backdrop for all your favorite outdoor activities

Chickasaw National Capitol
The Chickasaw National Capitol serves as a museum and reminder that the Chickasaw people fought for their tribal identity and independence. On the National Register of Historic Places, this truly unique structure is more than 8,000 square feet.
Chickasaw Council House Museum
The first Chickasaw Capitol House built in Indian Territory is preserved inside the museum along with a beautiful collection of pottery, jewelry, beadwork, artifacts, Chickasaw artwork and archives.
Chickasaw Nation Information Center
The Chickasaw Nation Information Center provides a unique selection of First American artwork, books and publications, jewelry, Chickasaw Country souvenirs and novelty items such as Tishomingo or Made in Oklahoma products. Beautiful artwork, sculptures and paintings crafted by First American artisans are on display within the facility and available for purchase.

Chickasaw Bank Museum
The Bank of the Chickasaw Nation opened in 1901 and came to ruin in 1909 when a part owner absconded with the money (around $40,000) and was never caught. The former bank showcases historical memorabilia and artifacts from the time.

The mission of the Seminole Nation Historical Society is to perpetuate and preserve the history of the Seminole Nation, its capital, and the surrounding area. The museum offers in-house educational programs for adults and students, several permanent and rotating exhibits and a great gift shop!

Creek Council House Museum
At the heart of historic downtown Okmulgee, the Muscogee Creek Nation Council House is full of history starting when construction finished in 1878. It is the place where present-day Muscogee (Creek) government was formally established and where Muscogee people founded the present-day city of Okmulgee in 1868.
