Washita Farm Museum
Travel through time at the Washita Farm Museum, located within the scenic Tishomingo Wildlife Refuge in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The Refuge was once known as Washita Farms, a 20,000-acre farming operation owned by the Chapman family until it was purchased by the government in 1938.
The museum offers an interesting glimpse into the past. One of the remaining homes displays clothes, furniture and tools as if they have been untouched for decades.
Explore more remnants of the farm's past, including the other homes, old silos, a two-story chicken coop and a hog barn.
Open only on Wednesdays from 11 AM to 1 PM, this is a must-visit for history buffs.
