Independence Day Celebrations across Chickasaw Country
Chickasaw Country, Okla. - As the nation lets freedom ring this Independence Day, the towns within Chickasaw Country will roll out the red, white and blue carpet for a variety of events from parades and 5K runs to festivals and fireworks. Festivities around the region begin as early as June 28 and extend through July 6.
On Friday, June 28, 2024, Purcell will celebrate Independence Day at Purcell Lake. The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with food, games and fireworks. Food trucks and booths will be set up at Chandler Pavilion on the south side of Purcell Lake. The Independence Day Celebration Car Show will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Lake’s Weaver Pavilion with an award presentation at 8 p.m. The fireworks display will begin at 9:45 p.m.
Join the celebration at Summer Fest in Lindsay kicking off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024. The family-friendly event will offer activities along Main Street throughout the day including games, arts and craft vendors, face painting, bounce houses, food vendors and more. Watch the live entertainment in Glenn Curlee Park and grab a chair or blanket to watch the fireworks at dusk.
Celebrate Independence Day in Newcastle at the Red, White and Blue Fest at Veteran’s Park on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with family-fun entertainment, including food trucks, crafts, games, live entertainment, family fun and more! The fireworks will begin at 9:45 p.m.
The entire family will enjoy Johnston County’s Red, White, and Boom Celebration in Tishomingo. On Saturday, June 29, 2024, line up on Main Street for the parade at 1 p.m., followed by a day of activities including live music, vendor booths, food trucks and more. Don’t miss the car show at 2 p.m. Saturday evening, guests can enjoy the fireworks at the Tishomingo High School football field, followed by an old school, red-dirt street dance on Main Street.
Waurika will host its annual 4th of July Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Legacy Park. The family-friendly event will begin at 4 p.m. with water activities, bounce houses, games and a beer wagon, and live entertainment and fish fry at 7 p.m., before fireworks at dark.
Spend the evening of Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Blanchard Independence Celebration featuring a kid zone, food and live music from Superfreak and the Oklahoma City Symphonic Band. Watch the firework display set to music at dusk. The events begin at 6 p.m. and the fireworks will be at 10 p.m.
Bring the family to Abe Raizen Park in Duncan for the Red, White & Boom Fireworks Show on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. Expect food trucks, music, fun and fireworks from 5 to 10 p.m.
Join SaltCreek Casino on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 5 to 10 p.m. for the 7th annual free, family-friendly Fireworks Spectacular. Enjoy food trucks, retail vendors and more followed by fireworks at the end of the night.
The town of Ada will celebrate the holiday with a 5K run, parade and fireworks. On Thursday, July 4, 2024, the day will kick off with the Fireball Classic Memorial Run in Wintersmith Park. This annual race features a fun run, 5K, 10K and half marathon. At dusk, return to Wintersmith Park for the Fourth of July Fireworks. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to view the show.
The Ardmore Tourism Authority and Lake Murray State Park will present the annual July 4th fireworks show at Lake Murray on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Fireworks will launch at dark, approximately 9:30 p.m., from the Radio Flying Field. The event is free and open to the public. During the day, visit Lake Murray State Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a come-and-go craft at Tucker Tower Nature Center and a guided hike along Buckhorn Trail beginning at 10 a.m. from Tipps Point trailhead.
Sparkle and shine at the Parade of Stars and Handlebars at Shannon Springs Park in Chickasha on Thursday, July 4, 2024, beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will feature a procession of bikes, scooters, golf cars and ATVs decked out in the finest holiday attire as Chickasha kicks off its Christmas in July celebration. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to catch Festival of Freedom fireworks at dark in Shannon Springs Park.
Marlow’s Fourth of July Celebration has been a tradition since 1892. On Thursday, July 4, 2024, start the day at 9:15 a.m. with an old-fashioned, small-town parade with classic cars, bicycles, bands, horses and horse-drawn carriages. Redbud Park hosts food, games, shopping and bingo. The Mayor’s Car Show will take place on Elm Street between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The evening concert begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Family fun awaits at the Pauls Valley Fireworks Extravaganza and 4th of July Celebration on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Thompson Field. Celebrate with games, food, a watermelon seed spitting contest, inflatables, live music, a talent show and fireworks at dusk.
Enjoy live entertainment by TJ Todd Band and Emily Rhyne and grab a bite from the food trucks on Friday, July 5, 2024, to celebrate Independence Day at Fullerton Park in Davis! Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with fireworks at dark.
Experience an evening of family fun, fireworks, live music, food trucks and a beer garden for the Lake Texoma Fireworks Celebration at West Bay Casino and Resort on Friday, July 5, 2024. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. Enjoy live music from singer-songwriter Jon Stork at 8 p.m., followed by brilliant fireworks over the lake.
Celebrate the holiday at Comanche Independence Fest at Comanche Lake from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Enjoy food vendors, bingo, music, games, face painting, bounce houses and more. At dusk, fireworks will launch over the lake.
Bring the entire family to Sulphur for Arbuckle Beats and Bites at The Artesian Hotel, Casino and Spa on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Doors open at 5 p.m. Grab a bite at one of the food trucks and hear live music from Sulphur’s own TJ Todd Band, followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. Admission is free to Arbuckle Beats & Bites.
