Sulphur, OK – Today, USA Today 10Best announced the Chickasaw National Recreation Area (CNRA) as the Best National Park for RVing/Camping from its Readers' Choice Poll. CNRA was amongst other top candidates besting Yellowstone National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Redwood National and State Parks and Grand Canyon National Park rounding out the top five.

The contest gave voters four weeks to cast their votes for their favorite National Park site. There were originally 20 nominations in the category and the voting narrowed to the best 10. The CNRA maintained a spot in the top five throughout the duration of the poll finishing strong at number one.

“Thank you to everyone who voted to recognize the hard work that our camp hosts and our fee and maintenance staff do,” said Megan Wilkins, CNRA Public Affairs Officer. “We have a beautiful setting, but they are the ones who make it shine.”

Nominees for all categories are chosen by a panel of relevant experts which include a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from, relevant expert contributors and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties. The nomination panel for each award category is displayed on its associated contest page. All voting is digital, and the 10Best Readers' Choice Award contest is accessible on the website.

As one of three National Park Service Sites in Oklahoma, Chickasaw National Recreation Area (CNRA) is a natural oasis featuring varied landscapes from creeks and waterfalls to towering hills and wooded trails.
