Veterans Lake

Beat the heat this summer and head out to Veterans Lake in Sulphur, Oklahoma for a refreshing day on the water or hiking at one of the beautiful trails. In 1933, this lake spanning 67 acres was named as a tribute to American War Veterans, and in 1983 was incorporated into the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. So, take your boat to this 67-acre reservoir located in the western portion of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area to relax and fish on the water. There is a three-mile paved trail circling the lake for an easy and convenient workout or stroll. Grills are available on-site, so stay for the day and have lunch at one of the picnic areas or a large picnic pavilion!
