Veterans Lake

Beat the heat this summer and head out to Veterans Lake in Sulphur, Oklahoma for a refreshing day on the water or hiking at one of the beautiful trails. In 1933, this lake spanning 67 acres was named as a tribute to American War Veterans, and in 1983 was incorporated into the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. So, take your boat to this 67-acre reservoir located in the western portion of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area to relax and fish on the water. There is a three-mile paved trail circling the lake for an easy and convenient workout or stroll. Grills are available onsite, so stay for the day and have lunch at one of the picnic areas or a large picnic pavilion!
