Guy's Getaway to Lake Texoma
Stay and Play at West Bay Resort
Escape with the guys to Kingston, Oklahoma, and Lake Texoma.
Where to Stay
Rent one of West Bay Resort's spacious, five-bedroom cabins for the ultimate getaway. Whether relaxing in the living room, napping in your bedroom or grilling on the furnished patio grill, the cabin is the perfect place to stay and play in Kingston.
Where to Eat
Cooking in your cabin’s full kitchen or on the patio grill are great options for mealtime. However, Kingston and the surrounding area offers several great breakfast, lunch and dinner options, including Kitchen 70 located inside West Bay, The Twisted Anchor Grill & Patio at nearby Buncombe Creek Resort and Marina, or Ollie’s Juke Joint and Café.
Grab a coffee at Greg’s Rockin’ Goat Coffee. Founded by drummer Greg Upchurch of 3 Doors Down and Puddle of Mudd, this rock-themed coffee shop is located in the heart of Kingston. Look for the piano keys mural in front of the shop.
Where to Play
Hit the links at Chickasaw Point Golf Club, conveniently located across the highway from West Bay. The sprawling course overlooks Lake Texoma and offers rolling hills, Bermuda grass fairways and Champion Ultra Dwarf greens. Golfers of all skill levels will enjoy this par 72 golf course. Eat lunch at the Club’s Hilltop Grill to keep playing all day.
Play a hand at the tables or try your luck at your favorite machine inside West Bay.
Cast a line in Lake Texoma with a skilled fishing guide like Steve York. Lake Texoma, the “Striper Capital of the World,” is home to striper, sand bass, crappie, blue and channel catfish and many more species of fish. You can bring your own boat and gear or hire a guide to take you to the best spots on the lake. Guides like Steve know the lake like the back of their hand and can make sure you have a successful trip!
Discover the area's history at nearby Fort Washita Historic Site & Museum in Durant. The 1842 site served as a former United States military post. Visitors can tour restored structures, witness Civil War reenactments and see what life was like in the area before the Civil War.
