The Wynnewood Open Rodeo has been drawing visitors to the Wynnewood Rodeo Grounds for over 50 years. Traditional rodeo events held at this event include barrel racing, calf roping, bull riding, team roping, bronc riding and the cowgirl breakaway roping. Meet Miss Rodeo USA, the "Sweetheart of the Rodeo," and stick around for mutton bustin,' a calf scramble and bull dogging, all held nightly at the local rodeo grounds. This old-fashioned, first-class rodeo attracts visitors from all across the nation and will also feature a parade throughout the streets of downtown on Saturday. At the Wynnewood IPRA Rodeo, merchandise vendors and food booths will also be available on-site.
