National Day of the Cowboy
Event Information
National Day of the Cowboy — Free Community Celebration!
This year, we’re celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States and honoring the Vaqueros, whose skill and hard work helped supply beef to soldiers during the American Revolution. Their traditions shaped the American cowboy and the history we share along the Chisholm Trail.
Bring the whole family for a full day of hands‑on fun. Live music, Basket weaving demonstrations, Face painting, Games for all ages, the traveling Vaquero exhibit Special guest Dr. Christopher Dysinger, children’s book author, our featured artist Jennifer Hustis and her family, sharing their art show and interactive games.
This event is FREE, family‑friendly, and one of the best days of the year to celebrate Western heritage, creativity, and community.
Saddle up and make plans to join us — we can’t wait to see you on the trail!
