Mary Thompson “Te Ata” Fisher, a Chickasaw woman raised in Indian Territory, overcomes cultural barriers to become one of the most celebrated First American performers of her time. As her fame grows, she navigates discovery, love and a stage career that includes performances for European royalty, a U.S. president and audiences around the world, ultimately realizing there is no greater story more inspiring than her own.
