Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series: MOJO & The Bayou Gypsies

Thursday, February 12, 2026
6:30-8:30 p.m.

The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma proudly announces the 25th season of the Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series, featuring an inspiring lineup that celebrates cultural expressions through music, dance, storytelling and comedy. This season, embark on a journey spanning through the seasons, all united by a common thread of artistic excellence and engaging performances.

All-Original American Roots Music and Stories in the Louisiana Bayou Tradition.

This Bayou Man, Mister MOJO, and his troupe of near-mad musical provocateurs, have poured Louisiana Fire on audiences across the planet for over a quarter century. Performing all original Louisiana music certified by the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. The music reflects the Louisiana Zydeco band as well as Cajun and New Orleans two-steps, rock and roll and blues rhythms. Mojo combines the styles in a gleeful gumbo he calls “red hot mojo music”. The band delivers a thrilling crescendo of Cajun accordion, fiddle, rubboards and more. There is no match for the unbridled fever this charismatic singer/accordionist and his band bring to the stage.

Don't miss this show in Chickasha, Oklahoma!
