12th Annual United Way BBQ Showdown presented by Valero

The United Way BBQ Showdown has become a signature event in Ardmore, attracting attendees from across the region. The event kicks off on Friday, August 1st at 5:00 pm, with Cajun Night, featuring delicious offerings from over 50 teams. Enjoy gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee, boiled shrimp, pastalaya, Cajun fried fish, and boudin - all you can eat! Visit with the “King of the Swamp”, Troy Landry, and Jacob Landry of the Swamp People at their meet & greet on Friday night. The live entertainment lineup kicks off with local favorite TJ Todd, and country star Jake Worthington, Season 6 runner-up of The Voice! Plus a cornhole tournament, free snow cones and face painting for children. 

The fun continues Saturday, August 2nd at 11:00 am with a thrilling BBQ competition where teams vie for the title of Grand Champion. The BBQ competition will feature brisket, pork ribs, and pork butt – all you can eat, of course! Additionally, there will be a pickleball tournament and free face painting and snow cones for children.

All proceeds benefit the United Way of South-Central Oklahoma, which supports over 30 agencies and 45 programs, positively impacting the lives of over 60,000 people in a five-county region.
