Where to Throw Down and Fly High!

Share with friends

Disc golf is exactly what you think of when you hear the words – playing golf but with discs rather than balls. This sport has become a fun pastime and hobby for many people. Chickasaw Country has abundant disc golf courses throughout the region for all skill levels. These are a few of the local favorites:

Tuttle

Tuttle, Oklahoma, has two disc golf courses (DGC). The Tiger Claw DGC is in Hartin-Hembleton Memorial Park on North Cemetery Road. This public park offers a 19-hole course with concrete and grass tees. This mixed-use park is cart and stroller-friendly, perfect for the entire family.

The second course is located at Schrock Park on West Main Street with the first tee just south of the south pavilion. The mixed-use park has a 9-hole course with concrete and grass tees.

Duncan

Duncan, Oklahoma, is home to three disc golf courses of varying skill levels. Two courses are situated at Duncan Lake – Duncan Lake West and Duncan Lake East. Both courses are 18 holes and feature hilly terrain and challenging trees.

A heavily wooded creek lines the Simmons Center DGC’s greens. The 9-hole course is mostly wooded and flat. Find this course adjacent to the Simmons Center on Chisholm Trail Parkway.

Check out the Duncan Disc Golf Club for weekly events.

Ardmore

Ardmore, Oklahoma, offers two disc golf courses. The Regional Park DGC is located at Ardmore Regional Park and features a mix of tunnels in the woods, blind corners and a few wide-open prairie holes. The 18-hole course has asphalt tees, is cart-friendly and is a top-rated course in Oklahoma.

Broadlawn Park DGC is set in Broadlawn Park, which is mostly flat and lightly wooded. The 18-hole course has concrete tees and Mach I targets.

Check out the Ardmore Disc Golf Club schedule for Sunday and Tuesday events.

Ada

Ada, Oklahoma, is home to the City of Ada Disc Golf Course, located in Wintersmith Park. This 9-hole course offers vast terrain and is great for family fun or full-blown competition. It has turf tees and Mach I targets. A fun twist to this course is the holiday rules—all Christmas light structures are automatic OB.
