Mill Creek, OK
Mill Creek is a small town with deep roots in Oklahoma. The area was first settled by Cyrus Harris, the Chickasaw Nation's first governor, and was named for Harris' mill and the creek nearby. The town was incorporated in 1901. At that time, there were several stores, restaurants, doctors, a bank, hotel and a cotton gin. The shipping of cattle on the railroad kept the town bustling.
