Murray-Lindsay Mansion
Take a step back in time and visit a historic gem in the heart of Lindsay, Oklahoma! Head over to the Murray-Lindsay Mansion to tour the former home of Irish immigrant Frank Murray, his First-American wife, Alzira McCaughey and their large family. Built from 1879-1881, this historic mansion was once the largest and most ornate house in western Chickasaw Country with fifteen rooms, two baths and four fireplaces. Many noteworthy guests are said to have visited the mansion, including the legendary Geronimo. When visitors step inside, it will look like it was frozen in time with early 1900s-era furnishings. Now operated by the Lindsay Community Historical Society, many events are hosted here each year.
