First State Bank Museum
Over 110 Years of Banking History! First State Bank Museum in Elmore City, Oklahoma is a historical banking building dating back to the early 1900s. The building is constructed of hand-molded sand blocks from a nearby creek. J.P. Gibson, a local businessman, and local community members organized First State Bank in 1903. This incredible bank was named the very first state bank charter established at statehood. The bank has relocated across the street and is still open for customers today. The original building is now known as First State Bank Museum, which opened as a historical museum in 1996. The museum has multiple original documents dating back to statehood.
