Not Old - But Seasoned

In Johnston County, you’ll find the Blue River, Ole Red, and even Blake Shelton (sometimes!). And now you’ll find the cutest and most unique little store on South Kemp Avenue … Junk Stars! The store is owned by Dorothy and Kim, who are long-time friends and now business partners.

You can usually find these two ladies at garage sales or anywhere else hidden treasures can be found. We’ve heard they even dumpster dive. They say, “We’re not old. We’re seasoned.” And that’s how they describe their merchandise, too! Everything in the store is completely unique and has its own twist to it. Paintings, antiques, home décor, and my favorite, denim jackets.

Are you a Blake fan? This is the perfect place for you! There’s tons of Blake Shelton merchandise, and the store owner, Dorothy, is Blake Shelton’s mom! And she’s definitely a proud momma with all of his albums displayed behind the counter.

The outside of the store matches the inside, with unique murals perfect for taking a picture (and tagging #VisitChickasaw on Insta! You know you want to!)

Want to learn more about Junk Stars? Head to Tishomingo to see the store and meet Blake's mom! And remember, next time you’re shopping in Chickasaw Country share your trip with us using #VisitChickasaw, and you could be featured on our social media!
