Hello Fall, Bring on the Fun
It is fall, y’all. This is cause for celebration. It is the time of year when the transition from the blistering heat to the “tears are frozen to my cheeks” cold happens. It is perfect to go outside, enjoy the sunshine, armed only with a light jacket and pick a pumpkin. We only get to do this once a year, folks, so we had better make it count. Here is your guide to celebrating the season in Chickasaw Country!

What do hay, corn and sorghum all have in common? They are what Chickasaw Country mazes are made of! Cue Brown Ranch Hay Maze in Ardmore. This annual maze is the largest in Oklahoma, constructed of 1.5 million pounds of hay. There are so many activities to do, like play carnival-style games, hayrides and of course get lost in the maze!

Next, pick out a perfect pumpkin at one of these pumpkin patches. Enjoy the pumpkin patch, but also stick around for other fall fun activities like hayrides, a petting zoo, pony rides and more! Paint, carve and decorate your Chickasaw Country pumpkin or gourd and set it out for trick-or-treaters. Visit Happy Day Farms Pumpkin Patch in Terral or Cornerstone Kids' Ranch in Ada.

If you have ever driven on Interstate 35, you know the Arbuckle Mountain region is cloaked in trees. Eventually, these trees will start transitioning to dormancy, and those fall colors we anticipate every year will arrive. Hop in your car, grab a cup of coffee and plan a day trip to go leaf peeping.
