Plan a Historical Visit to the Chickasaw Bank Museum!
The Chickasaw Bank Museum originally served as the Chickasaw Tribe bank in the early 1900s. Thanks to the Johnston County Historical Society, the old bank has been restored into a museum showcasing historical memorabilia and artifacts. The museum building also houses the Johnston County Museum of History, a genealogical society research library, Victorian tea room, conference center and gift shop. In 1992, the Chickasaw Bank Museum was placed in the National Historical Register. Individual tours and group tours are available by appointment only. In addition to the museum tour, catered lunch and step-on guides are also available for groups. Donations to the museum are greatly appreciated. Come tour this fascinating piece of Oklahoma history!
